"When Darkness Falls" by Killswitch Engage
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M__P2XB7r44
Killswitch Engage is an excellent screamo/thrash-metal band whose songs are all written from a general Christian perspective and are very positive in nature. This particular song is only vaguely Christian, however (it's primarily about living for faith and values in a secular world).
Enjoy!

As you walk
The path of least resistance
Is it as simple
As you claim it to be
(Cut out)Your tongue
Your eyes
Your lies
They do decieve you
Your tongue
Your eyes
Your lies
They do decieve you
I stand firm in my solidarity
The path I walk (the path I walk)
I walk in with my own resolve
When darkness falls (when darkness falls)
We are reborn
Our dream since the fall of man
We are reborn
My beliefs
Are not antiquated
We are the hope
Silence them all
With not just words
Let resolution be our voice
I stand firm in my solidarity
The path I walk (the path I walk)
I walk in with my own resolve
When darkness falls (when darkness falls)
We are reborn
Our dream since the fall of man
We are reborn
We are the remnant
We the remnant will silence them all
We are the faithful
We the faithful will silence them all
Silence them all
When darkness falls (when darkness falls)
We are reborn
Our dream since the fall of man
We are reborn
When darkness falls (when darkness falls)
We are reborn
Our dream since the fall of man
We are reborn

Since many Jews are registered in the forum, I suggest that you remove the lyrics and edit the title (explain that it contains a religious Christian massage).

I posted the lyrics so that people would be able to see them and decide for themselves whether or not to listen.

I agree... But Im sure that Dr. Brennan Fan did not know what is wrong with doing so...

The Christians can listen to it. As for Jews and Noahides, I posted the lyrics so they could read it firsthand and decide if it is appropriate. It's only vaguely Christian but I thought it was fair to warn people.

NO Jew is allowed to read this/listen to this. You understand that there are many Jews here who don't understand that it's forbbiden/don't care, true?

I don't really see a Christian message at all. The simply adjective "reborn" could apply to a myriad of things. There is no mention of Jesus or Christian beliefs in these lyrics.

I also notice some other xtian ideology in these lyrics... But it is not worth arguing about...

Yes I do have several of their songs on my mp3 ;D

THIS IS ABSURD!! If you want to argue that these types of posts are just TOO off topic (Being that this is a Jewish site), then you may have a point, but I would be VERY disappointed if the mods here remove this post for 'offensive' reasons. (Unless you can show that the passages/posts are proselytizing in nature)

I honestly can't make heads or tails out of the lyrics. How anyone is seeing a Christian context in them is beyond me.
-
I don't see any Christian lyrics in there either!

The song says something about the "fall of man." The "fall of man" and "original sin" are Christian concepts. Jews believe in yetzer harah (the evil inclination) and yetzer hatov (the good inclination).
But I don't see any problem with Jews listening to that song. The lyrics are pretty mild compared to other metal songs which are about satanic worship and things like that.

I don't like heavy metal, myself.

There is a problem with Avodah Zara songs just like there are problems with immodest songs, even ONE word that is not ok makes it forbbiden to listen to and/or read its lyrics.

I don't want to offend any of our great members, but Jews and bnei Noach are not allowed to sing or listen to this song. Some of the theme contradicts Torah Judaism.

I agree, if this is the case then this thread should be deleted.
