I doubt she will have a chance at winning here in CA... But I surely will vote for her if she is on the ballot...

Head of 'birther' movement runs for Calif. office

Wednesday, March 17, 2010

(03-17) 16:59 PDT Santa Ana, Calif. (AP) --

A California attorney who leads a movement challenging President Barack Obama's citizenship plans to run for secretary of state in November.

Orange County Registrar of Voters Neal Kelley said Wednesday that Orly Taitz, a leader of the so-called birther movement, has qualified as a candidate.

She plans to challenge fellow Republican Damon Dunn, a former NFL player living in Irvine, for her party's nomination.

Taitz has filed multiple lawsuits that claim Obama wasn't born in the U.S.

Taitz, a native of the former Soviet Union, is a naturalized U.S. citizen.

On Monday, a Georgia appeals court upheld a federal judge's ruling that requires Taitz to pay $20,000 in court sanctions in connection with one of the Obama-related lawsuits.
