I listened to Chaim's commentary in new ' Ask JTF' program (5-24-10 ), focusing especially on the introduction, which was about Rand Paul and the questions and comments related to Rand Paul during the program.

Keeping that in mind, I just came across a video from someone called MrConservativeTalk. He's anti-Rand Paul and considers Rand Paul a Liberal. That's all well and good. At the same time, MrConservativeTalk is critical of Rand Paul's comments regarding the 1964 Civil Rights Law. The comments Rand Paul made before he reversed his course 24 hours later.

The impression I got from watching this video at least somewhat ties into what Chaim mentioned regarding what he considers real Conservative. While both Chaim and MrConservativeTalk both consider Rand Paul a left wing individual, there's a major difference regarding their view of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. For the record, for the most part, I agree with Chaim's opinion on this. Yet, I think it's important to present this video and in the future other info regarding Rand Paul and his Democrat opponent Jack Conway, who unfortunately seems like a Liberal Democrat to the nth degree.

What Rand Paul did was philosophize out loud.I didn't think he was against sitting next to a black at a counter to eat.I think he all he was saying is that people have property rights.

This was my take as well. While I certainly didn't want to see Rand Paul win the Republican Senate Primary in Kentucky, on this particular issue, in large part I agreed with his comments BEFORE he reversed field a day later.

It's all very simple:
If America is to ever again be "free" and the land of liberty, then freedom of association, and our rights to deny service to anyone must be restored.
The U.S.A. I grew up in was free, rich, prosperous, hired people based on their qualifications and not their skin color or sexual perversion.
It was exactly the Civil Rights Act which put us all under a Bolshevik tyranny.
Please note*
If you agree the U.S.A. must again be FREE, then you must accept the fact that Jews also will be denied service, not hired, not admitted to schools, not allowed to live in certain neighborhoods, etc.
If you yourself are free to tell a disgusting schwartze to get out of your store, then everyone else must be equally free to discriminate against us if they so choose.
You can't have it both ways - you can't rail against schwartzes all the while demanding that people be legally forced to accept Jews and be nice to them on the basis of you think people should love Jews.
Rabbi Kahane strongly agreed with these rights of association and discrimination, wanting only that American Jews be free to live as Jews in America.
**You'd better think on this very carefully, as this is the deal breaker.
There will be no "taking America back" without restoring ALL of our Constitutional rights, and these include the rights to be disliked and ostracized by other citizens.

I AGREE WITH THAT

MassuhDGoodName, when it comes to private business, including homeownership, I agree with you to a very large extent.
There are certain exceptions in which I believe all people should have the option to have access to service. This would apply only in situations such as a Service Station on a highway, because there's no viable competition. But again, this is not the norm. No one should be forced to provide service to someone in a Downtown private business, as there will be plenty of competition.

Re: "exceptions in which I believe all people should have the option to have access to service."
Yes, of course!
A Constitutional democratic Republic guarantees the same equality under the law, meaning that the government, legal representation, and public services are accessible to all on an equal basis.
But the government sector is there to serve and protect the rights of the individual to be free and enjoy liberty; not vice versa.
I am not so naive as to think that there won't always be abuses of the system, but all of us must think and choose but one of these two ends:
a) whether we prefer to live free with some wayward individuals misusing the system,
or
b) we prefer to live as we live now...with an out of control tyrannical and imperial government which has destroyed the Constitution and is abusing everyone.
"The Price of Liberty is Eternal Vigilance." -- Thomas Jefferson

This is Rabbi Meir Kahane's warning to all American Jews:
"A wave of Jew-hatred, much like that which swept Europe, exists in the US today."
"The hand writes on the wall and only the foolishly fearful will not desire to read its message " --
"Jew, it is time to go home. "

I read the article, I think it speaks well for Dr. Rand Paul. Tell me is he a gynecologist, like his father?
-
He wimped out and backed out of saying it, just like his dad wimping out and saying MLK was his hero.
-
MassuhDGoodName , in answer to your question, I think option a) is the better alternative to the United States.
The current situation with a Muslim Socialist occupying the oval office, with Congress being controlled by the radical Left, and the Supreme Court being filled with BHO ally " judges", will lead to the end of the U.S. as a first world country if a sharp reversal doesn't occur in the next few years.

Rand paul is an opthamologist.
At this time, I'm going to provide the link to the other Rand Paul related thread from yesterday, to help tie in the overall discussions.

JTFenthusiast2, following up on what you mentioned:
I'll say this about Rand Paul. This isn't a Barack Hussein Obama affirmative action type of situation. Like BHO, Rand Paul is very dangerous to the future of the United States. But Rand Paul is smart, both in terms of IQ and knowledge acquired through the willingness to learn. Rand Paul doesn't seem to be the type who needs to depend on a teleprompter.
-
EB, I always enjoy hearing what you have to say. You have very good insights.
-
One thing for sure, Rand Paul is smarter than his loony father.

Thanks, JTFenthusiast2.
One of the major benefits of JTF is for each of us to exchange ideas and view points. It's an oppportunity to learn from each other.

While I believe Ron Paul has greater knowledge on issues and history, I believe that Rand Paul is more clever. Ron Paul reminds me of the overt enemy like Hamas. I'm very concerned that Rand Paul is a Fatah ( deceptive/ hidden ) type of enemy. The latter would be much more dangerous.

The following from May 21, 2009 is why I won't support Rand Paul. Thanks to Lisa Graas for providing the info on one of her excellent Conservative sites in Kentucky:
http://genuinegopmom.blogspot.com/2010/02/rand-pauls-2010-thuggery-tour-continues.html
From Sultan Knish:
Rand Paul has been cleverer than his father, dressing up the same message in more ambiguity, and redirecting questions with formulaic and deliberately vague answers. For example on the 9/11 Truther Alex Jones show, Rand Paul explained that his technique when answering questions about the War on Terror differs from his father, in that he emphasizes that there is a constitutional right to declare war. Which is his disingenuous way of attempting to seem pro-national defense, while avoiding talking about his real views on the War on Terror.
Paul confirmed to Jones that he offers the same message as his father does, but with a more appealing "presentation".
Alex Jones: "You're basically what I would call a chip off the old block. Your policies are basically identical to your father, correct?"
Rand Paul: "I'd say we'd be very very similar. We might present the message sometimes differently.. I think in some ways the message has to be broadened and made more appealing to the entire Republican electorate because you have to win a primary."

I think back to 1991 when David Duke ran for Governor of Louisiana in the general election against Democrat Eddie Edwards. Duke CLAIMED to be a changed person, with his days with KKK ties and beliefs in the past. Thankfully, Duke lost the election. Not surprising, Duke went back to openly being a NAZI!
