A Dhanbad man stitched his wife’s privates with iron wires out of anger because his wife wanted to visit her parent’s place.

The wife, Sabitri, is admitted to the Dhanbad hospital and has undergone an operation at the Patliputra Medical College and Hospital (PMCH), Dhanbad. She is reported to be in a critical condition. Sabitri’s husband, Sannimar Munda fled after this violent act.

Sannimar Munda was annoyed with his wife’s demand to visit her parents and accused her of having an extra-marital affair as reported by Rajiv Ranjan, Dhanbad Deputy Superintendent of Police. The couple had a fight after which Munda tied the legs and hands of his wife and sewed her genitals with a wire made of iron. He locked her up in that condition and fled from the scene.

Sabitri could somehow get away and reached the home of her parents in an injured condition. Her parents filed an accusation against Munda to the police.

A doctor who treated Sabitri said, "In my medical career of more than 30 years, I have not seen such a ghastly act."

Might not be at this level brother but this violence is not uncommon in india. In 80s the violence was very very common in cities too..These days
it has reduced somewhat in cities..but it still continues in non-urban areas...Problem is common with hindus and muslims alike...
