ANWR is also a drop in the bucket, we have in the Gulf states too.

I support the idea.  However, I don't think there would be enough oil resources for it to be a sustainable energy source over time.  I think it would be good for the short-term but its still necessary to develop an alternative energy source. 

Many Republicans have supported the idea but the environmental groups were able to get the Democrats to filibuster it when Republicans controlled Congress.

The Sierra Foundation tends to be crazy.  They exaggerate the environmental impacts of drilling in Alaska.

You drill in Al Whore's head and you will get gas but useless gas
