Tzfat Mayor Ilan Shochet and Chief Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu condemned the violence that took place between Arabs and Jews in the city Friday night. The two called on both sides to act with tolerance and calm. Shochet has spoken to the heads of Arab parties in the city and asked for their cooperation.

The unrest on Friday night developed over increasing tensions between Jewish residents and Arab students at a local college, whom many Jews accuse of carrying out vandalism and other illegal activity.

tolerance and calm.

When Jews get the 'tolerance', Muslims will get the 'calm'.
