Brazil formally recognises Palestinian statehood

Brazil has been accused of undermining the Middle East peace process after it formally recognised Palestinian statehood in the West Bank and Gaza.

Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva, in his last month as Brazil's president, caused anger in Israel and the United States by officially acknowledging Palestinian sovereignty over territory occupied by Israel since 1967.
By breaking ranks with his South American allies, President Lula appeared to be consolidating his legacy as the leader that turned Brazil into a major force on the world stage.
But the move was denounced by Israel as a unilateral attempt to bypass the peace process that would "harm trust" between the Israeli and Palestinian leaderships.

President Lula's decision, announced in a public letter to Mahmoud Abbas, his Palestinian counterpart, is the latest evidence of Brazil's growing interest in the politics of the Middle East.
In recent years, Brazil has been involved in unofficial "back channel" negotiations between Israel and Syria. In March, President Lula also became the first Brazilian leader officially to visit the Holy Land.
The trip was not without its controversies. Avigdor Lieberman, the Israeli foreign minister, refused to meet the president after he turned down an invitation to lay a wreath at the grave of Theodor Herzl, the father of modern political Zionism.
President Lula's decision also earned the anger of pro-Israel members of Congress, who called it "severely misguided" and said it would serve to "undermine peace and security in the Middle East".
Brazil's foreign ministry defended the move, saying it still believed a negotiated settlement between Israel and the Palestinian leadership was "essential".
More than 100 states, mostly from Asia, Africa and the Middle East, have recognised Palestinian statehood, and Brazil becomes the last of the BRIC group of emerging powers – Brazil, Russia, India and China – to do so.
But Israel fears that other South American countries could now follow suit and there was speculation that Peru do so in the next few days.

Indeed. That's what the smarter Arabs, the so-called "moderate" ones, count on. They want to force recognition by creating facts on the ground. South American antisemites will be the first ones to join in outside the Muslim world.

This is the false "morality" of the world. It's very different than real Biblical morality.

It's not funny since not all Brasilians are portugese and black.
It is rather insulting since how do you know the people of Brasil support what he did

Brazil is quite cozy with the fakestinians, and has taken in their so-called refugees.

This paragraph caught my eye:

All will receive rented accommodation, furniture and material assistance for up to 24 months. Employment profiles are being analysed to ensure job opportunities for all, while a network of volunteers and local communities is being established to provide moral support during their integration.

There's also a significant fakestinian "diaspora" in Brazil:

Brazil also recognized the murderous PLO:

Brazil has a holiday expressing solidarity with the fakestinians:

Here's some info about fakestinian kids attending the Homeless World Cup in Brazil:

Also, on a personal note, I took a course in Hunter College a while back.  While I was there, I saw all these fliers for the Brazilian-Palestinian club.

Well I formally recognize the tooth fairy and the Easter bunny... But they are only imaginary. Just because a country says it recognizes something doesn't mean anything...

Brazil was a big Nazi paradise. When World War II ended, a lot of Nazis fled to Argentina and Brazil and still have a lot of German population there. Uruguay is 98 percent European, I believe majority German. Most of these countries today are anti Israel and are falling apart. Argentina mainly falling apart after economy crashed going through socialism years ago. Brazil is falling apart from all the interracial mixing and aids is dominant there. Socialist country like Venezuela, Bolivia, and Cuba are anti Israel because they sympathize with the "indigenous struggle" so to speak despite the fact Cuba it's self are primarily Basque or Afro background.

Not all of central or south america is anti-Israel, many governments including people from Guatemala, Columbia, Peru (Alejandro Toledo was pro Israel, and his wife is Jewish), Chile, few others are pro Israel and buy a lot of weapons as well. Depends on the country.

Average Brazilians are primitive, third-world cretins that are constantly denouncing Jews and anyone more civilized than themselves.

Prove the average brasilian is like that? It seems you like assume all of what ever group of people you are bashing are all the same. Go to southern brasil and see how the people there are hard work church going christians. Before you start with casting opinions you think are true you need to open your mind and see you cannot paint everyone with the same paint brush. If you are to do so it makes you look like a foolish immature person who is stuck in a bubble.

Great ! Then, let's ship ALL the Fakestinians to Brazil ! A good location would be in the northern forests infested with crocodiles and snakes.

ironic how Brazil is the first country to recognize palestine, when they will be the first country Hashem whipes out in my opinion, since ofcourse their the closest thing to Sodom and Gomorah in these modern times.

As for the Southern Brazilians, who I believe are mostly white, aren't they pushing for independence from the rest of the country?
