Please if you have facebook, go to my status and "like" it. Wepay is running a promotion where each day for 7 days, the person with the most "likes" in a status where he tags wepay and says what he uses it for, will win 100 dollars. If we win, I will then donate some extra money to JTF.
Here is my profile. Just click where it says "wall" to display my status, and then click "like" right underneath it. It will only take a second.

So far I have 7 likes. So please join in to this party and let's win this thing.
-
Thanks guys I have 23 likes so keep liking it if you haven't already.
-
the winner for yesterday had only 30 likes!
-
Actually I am now up to 26 likes plus my own like which makes 27. If you guys can help me out it will get some money to jtf and also get our name out there to everyone who follows the wepay company when they announce us the day's winner
-
I just clicked so you should have 34 now
-
If you win I'll match their $100 donation :)

Awesome . Yasher koach Bryan.
I think we are neck and neck with some fraternity that is raising money for aids, but we are slightly ahead and that is their 2 day total. Of course I don't know what other groups have but I like our chances at this point let's see what happens.
-
Done.
-
Thank you rubystars and hotspot. We are ahead of that fraternity group for now, but I guess we'll find out soon if there is anyone else getting many likes.
-
Do you have to be a facebook user? I will NEVER use facebook even though some news websites now require it in order to comment. I have no desire to join facebook... If I can help some other way I would...

Oh, unfortunately you do have to be a member of facebook in order to "like" an item. Don't think there is any other way to go about this one.
-
Ok, the fraternity people have 41 likes, and I have 43 right now. Hopefully we will beat them.
Btw, anyone who liked and is not yet my friend on facebook, please add me.
-
I did a search for posts by anyone tagging wepay, and it looks like it is just me and the fraternity who are in competition here. I am ahead by a few likes still at this point, but even if we lose today, I think we can probably win the Wednesday contest anyway because it will be tough for someone to build up that many likes in one day. But we are ahead by 2 right now 44-42

When does the competiton close?

WHO CARES ABOUT FACEBOOK? it's about the holy cause of helping the Jews of Judea and Samaria. Just make a fake Face account and Like KWRBT's status
-
For every fake email account you can set up a fake facebook account. I used mine to like and vote.

That's a good question. Surprised they haven't announced the winner yet
-
Too bad. We did not win day 2. The winner was abigail lesnesky. But I cannot see her status or her wall to determine how many likes she got.
I think the votes carry over so maybe we will win day 3 bezrat Hashem

Kol hakavod. Thank you.

I just clicked "like" as well

Here's some additional info - the winner is the one with the most likes as of 8am pacific time (12 noon on the east coast I think, right? Or is it 11 am?). I tried contacting them to ask how many likes the winner of day 2 had, but have not yet received a response. I also tried to ask them whether they can see my post just to confirm I'm even being considered since for some people they were not able to see their post. We have about 49 likes right now and this evening I plan to spend some time contacting more people to like it more.
I will be thrilled if this money goes to settlers instead of aids or just to someone's pocket (many posting to wepay's site are just individual people who want to win 100
-
Ok, I found out that the votes DO NOT carry over, so I have to enter a new status message to be an entry for Day 3.
Also, the winner from day 2 had 66 votes, so we didn't quite get enough. I'm not sure if we will be able to get the votes again, but it's worth a try. I'll put up a new one now. Please like it if you have a chance. We were off by only about 15 votes.
I have a new status up so please like it, and we'll see if we can get enough votes this time.
-
I'm going through all the friends that are listed as available on facebook chat and personally asking them to like my status.
We already have 7 likes. Kol Hakavod Ron, I saw that you liked it right away.
If the people displayed on the WePay page are the only ones who posted, we are blowing them all away so far.
-
Done!
-
Ugh. I see that someone who promised a dollar to every person who liked it, has already gotten 113 likes
Don't think we have a shot this time.
-
Muman, it only takes about a minute to sign up with a fake account on facebook. I am not really into the whole social networking thing yet and I'm trying to learn more about it. However I was in a chat room that had a facebook group created for it and so I had to sign up to participate in that. It really isn't that horrible. I don't have my real name or picture on there and I can use that account to like things like this.
-
Well, I appreciate everyone's help, but the winner this time got 201 likes. (And there was another guy with over 100). We were demolished. This can probably be unstickied now.
Unfortunately it will not be an extra 100 dollars for JTF. But maybe we can all give a few dollars extra next time we donate and altogether we can make up for it.
-
Sorry Kahane - Was - Right BT.
I don't FaceBook.
I will give a little extra the next time I donate to JTF, with you in mind.
Thanks for your effort.
-
I shouldn't have given up, I should have tried the last 2 days, maybe we could have won. I think the day 4 and 5 people got many less likes than the 200 something that won day 3. For this I apologize. But their contest is now over.
Actually, I spoke too soon. Day 4 got 131 likes.
But it looks like friday's winner had only one like - himself. Unless I'm just unable to view the full post. But that is pretty disappointing if thats the case. Oh well. Time to unsticky this thread to the dustbin of JTF history
