Neturei Karta rabbis in Iran for anti-terrorism conference

US Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss, of the organization Jews United Against Zionism, also known as Naturei Karta, along with Canadian Rabbi Yeshaye Rosenberg attended an International conference on Global Alliance against Terrorism for a Just Peace in Tehran on Saturday.
Weiss and Rosenberg spoke with clerics and other Iranian officials during the conference. The rabbis attended the conference, despite it taking place on Shabbat.

Earlier this month, dozens of members of the extremist anti-Zionist group gathered at Kikar Shabbat, in the ultra-Orthodox Mea She'arim/Geula neighborhood, to burn an Israeli flag as a provocation during the two-minute siren marking Holocaust Remembrance Day at 10 a.m. on Monday.
Around 15 news photographers came to document the event, according to reports, though the photos never materialized when bystanders wrestled the flag away from the Neturei Karta and prevented them from burning it.

There are two at least two differences :
1) The Israeli establishment does not completely reject the notion of a Jewish state and the notion that Israel is the homeland of the Jews - although what they advocate is more a state of Jews than a Jewish state (and I should even say a state of assimilated Jews), and although they don't realize that by giving more land to the Arabs they are digging their graves. "Naturei Karta" denies both the legitimacy of a Jewish state and the fact that Israel is the homeland of the Jews !
2) At least, the Israeli establishment does not speak in the name of the Torah, they have a secular approach, whereas "Naturei Karta" claims to embody Torah judaism, which creates even more confusion.
