I don't see how that was hateful toward black people. All she said was that having dark skin doesn't automatically mean you know anything about politics.

I don't understand why Carl Lewis risks ruining his image and losing his gold medals by running for elections. Carl Lewis almost certainly used unauthorized performance enhancing substances during his career. If he becomes a politician, he might eventually get entangled in perjury.
