I was davining at my chabad shull and on the first day, 3 israeli guys come in and pray. One of the other congregants recognized them and threw a big fit. The shull was auctioning off the alliyahs, then one of the israeli men put down a big bid. They were called on to the bema and thats when the drama started. The one congregant recognized these men as israeli mobsters/criminals so he walked off saying" I refuse to davin alongside with criminals". I was the first one to defend the criminals because everyone has the right to commit tishuvah! Oh well besides that incident of fellow jews not allowing another yid to commit tishuvah, my rosh hashanah was very pleasant.

I will tell my story of Rosh Hashanah soon... It was not as spicy as yours but there is something interesting...
