In my families case they usually cure something after someone in my family dies from it... May Hashem turn this around in our lifetime...

This is nice and all but with Iran obtaining the bomb and nobody attacking, this type if research may become pointless to Israelis, Gd forbid.  It might be time to find the bring people back from the dead gene.

If the gene is already activated in the female mice and the male mice that are genetically engineered just catch up to the female lifespan, then does that mean that the same might be true for humans and that only men would benefit from the potential drugs?

We could just eat less.
I often go for 36-72 hours without eating. No, not in preparation for ramadan.
My stomach just sleeps. Most likely this is because for the first two decades, I starved to nearly starve. And near death type of starve when I was in China - thank you chairman mao.

I'm glad that you're safe now. I've always heard men should eat at least 1500/day to stay healthy. I've also heard intermittent fasting can be healthy though but I don't know how often someone can do that and not damage themselves.

I do not think that the female human lifespan is naturally longer than that of men.

I'm not sure I just know that in general women are said to have a longer lifespan on average even with all the female-specific health issues and diseases.
