No shedding of tears for this Nazi replacement theologian from me.

No doubt he's in a very warm place right now.
-
May his name be blotted out... Such hatred has no place in this world.
-
May he roast ! >:(
-
What did he do? I hear from every organization I join "save the coptic christians", though I know little other than they fast too much, and they keep a picture of some taliban looking guy in their house. Was he a traitorous dhimmi or something?
Just Google him and his statements.

"H.H. Pope Shenouda held a very critical stance towards Israel. He considered Israel to be an illegal entity occupying Arab Christian and Muslim lands. He stood against president Anwar Sadat for signing the Camp David peace treaty with Israel and soon after he was exiled to the Nitrian Desert by Sadat, to return only three years after Sadat's assassination.
He always supported the Palestinian resistance against Israel, and he banned members of his congregation from visiting Christian sites in Israel, stating that Christians should only go to Jerusalem after the sites were to be liberated from Israeli occupation."
(from wikipedia)
He should have died at birth!
-
Too bad it wasn't a painful death...
-
OMG! His existence was utterly shameful even for himself. How could he support Pakistan666.
-
THIS was the head of the world's Coptics that are constantly under attack from Muslims? It takes a pretty sick person to hate Jews so much that you steadfastly support their enemies even when those same enemies are killing your own people.
If they are pro-Israel it will bring down even more death and persecution on themselves. They are trying to survive as second or third class non-Muslims in a Muslim country. If they so much as utter one pro-Jewish or pro-Israel thing then they could have their entire family murdered, and this is likely to happen at any rate. It's no wonder that their leadership is openly and vehemently anti-Semitic.
I don't agree with any level of anti-Semitism, but unless Israel is willing to step in and help these people directly, they will be under enormous pressure to be anti-Semitic simply because of the place where they live. They could be ratted out for being pro-Israel if they did express any beliefs like that, even inside their own community, so maybe you can see why this creates an environment that is prone to anti-Semitism.
I'm not excusing it, as I believe it's more logical for them to find solidarity with Israel since both Coptics and Jews are murdered and hated by Muslims, but I do think that any discussion of this topic needs to be understood in that context.
-
I just want to add to what Dan Ben Noah posted.
Though it might *appear* that these Christian Arabs are being anti-Semitic just to cover themselves, it's really not the case. Otherwise, how would you explain the anti-Semitism/pro Islamic positions of prominent Christian Arabs in the U.S? Take for example Helen Thomas, James Abourezek and James Zogby.
-
He had no choice to do what he did, the Christians are a very small minority.
I like when people spout off things they can not actually prove.
The peace agreement was a joke and still is today and many Jews and non Jews were and still are against that peace agreement.
At face value he was not a bad man.

At face value, you're nothing but a troll, Johnson Brown.

At the time of the peace agreement, you had Sadat supporters who wanted peace with Israel (even though it was phony), and you had the more extreme Nasser types who didn't want peace with Israel. Sort of like P.L.O vs. Hamas. Sadat supporters were the P.L.O. phonies and the Nasser types were more like Hamas terrorists. This guy sided with the extremists when it would have been more in his interest to support Sadat, because Sadat had him exiled. So basically Jew-hatred was his priority here.
Thanks for the information. So out of the two terrorist groups he could have joined with he went with the worse one.
-
He was anti-Semitic before this Muslim Brotherhood takeover, even during times when he didn't need to be. He opposed peace with Israel when he didn't need to, he was even more extremist than Sadat when he was in power. He banned people from visiting Jerusalem when he didn't need to. He's done what you see over and over again especially among Middle Eastern Christian leaders and gone BEYOND what he needs to do to protect himself and his people to stick it to the Jews. And the reason for this is because he actually was anti-Semitic.
You make a good point here in that he went over and above what was needed to keep his people safe. I think he and many others truly hold those Jew hating beliefs.
I'm not saying, as Lisa seemed to think, that they're only saying these things to cover themselves. That's way too much of a simplification of what I was getting at.
I think that their situation is at the root of the problem though. They are in a situation which promotes anti-Semitism. That doesn't mean they don't believe in it. Many of them do, and very strongly.
I do think we need to view this in the context of where they live and the situation they are in.
Americans and others that originate from this community and retain the anti-Semitism do so because that's what their family has believed previously.
If the situation in Egypt changes then views won't change overnight there to be more friendly toward Israel or Jewish people. It would however allow for more diversity of opinion to survive if it were to emerge.
-
I'm thinking it's a similar situation to the Holy Land, where most of the Christians associate ethnically with the Arab Muslim terrorists, even though you have instances where their churches have been attacked by Muslims.
Yes that's a very good example.

Are there individual Copts that I feel sorry for? Yes, but by and large they and their so-called church are no better than Sh*tlam. As Lisa once said, these are "disgusting dhimmis" with absolutely no sense of self-worth of any kind. If you hate people of a different religion than yourself, that have done nothing to you and are willing to be your allies against a common mortal enemy, so very much that you are willing to collaborate with that mortal enemy, you are worthless in my opinion. The Copts are no different from folks like Revava and Kahane.org that hate JTF and people unlike them in any way so much that they are willing to cozy up to Nazis and Muslims just to rub it in. As such, good riddance to this so-called pope and all the crap that he stood for. Between his and John Demjanuk's departure, I'm sure Fag Buchanus had a very hard day yesterday. Yimach shemam to all three.
-
He was an evil guy for sure, and I'm glad he is dead, but obviously not all Copts share his views. I have a few Coptic friends, and they certainly arent Nazis at all.
-
It would be nice if Fag's antiretrovirals stopped working.
As for the Copts, they are like Lutherans: individuals are not all bad, but the church itself is rotten to the core.

Brennanfan, you have the most awesome way with words.
Let me also remind everyone here of a fakestinian Christian troll we had recently who had the nerve to quote the Torah and to use Hebrew words to try and argue that Israel doesn't belong to the Jews. If that's not a disgusting dhimmi, I don't know what is.
So to sum it up, I don't care what these people call themselves. If they hate us Jews so much that they would side Muslim terrorists against us, then I hate them as much as their Islamo nutter countrymen.

I wasn't aware of this Canaanite troll. Can you please link me to his verbal vomit?

I can't seem to remember his user name at the moment. But when I do, I'll post a link here.

I regret not getting to kurvaslap his tuchis.

I am sure they are fixing to appoint a new pope will the next one be any better than the last?

Brennanfan, his username was "thatguy11." Here's a link to one of his threads (where I also went medieval on him):

Man, I hate antizionists. Only one Jewish state and they hate it. It's the size of New Jersey and is 20% non-Jewish, but they don't care. Nothing will satisfy them short of the Jews disappearing off the face of the planet.

I think anti-Semites/anti-Zionists hate Jews because they hate what continued Jewish survival represents, that there is a chosen people and that there really is a God.

Generally the people who face perpetual persecutions from the muslamics and also who do have nothing good in their hearts for Israel, develop some kind of forked tongues, forked speech and forked logic's which are very controversial to decode.

Good info. My sister ( 1/2 liberal... :( ) dated a copt once and his parents even disaproved of that relationship. He got dumped pretty quick because he expected her to stay home all day. I say if their leader will curse the Jews and the land of Israel, you fight g-d in trying to support the coptics. I don't care for emotional judgement, so their suffering is fair and deserved. And to the person that said they basically "used anti-semetism in self-defense", I've never heard a more ignorant statement. Their self-defense pits them against g-d, and marks them as loyal dhimmis, good for rape and pilage. Security is achieved by fighting back. Bowing to the will of your opressor shows only how comfortable you are on your knees. Nobody respects a kiss-donkey, they just like getting their donkey kissed.
The person who praised the Coptic pope is a Nazi troll who has his own forum where he blames Israel for 9/11.
