I would like to thank Chaim and all the members of the Forum for praying for my father.
It is with heartbreaking sadness that I have to say: The doctors tell me his kidneys are failing and his brain tumor is growing back.
The doctors don't want to do anything for the brain tumor since they say chemotherapy or radiation will kill him. He has been asleep for five days straight, except for occasional moaning.
I hope to G-d that he is unconscious. I cannot bare the thought of him being awake and aware, feeling unending pain.
Please say a very short prayer..

I pray for you! I'm so sorry for what your father is going through, and you. These experiences only make us stronger!!

I am very sorry to hear about your fathers condition... The doctors seem to be trying to do the right thing and not cause your father needless suffering... Sometimes the medical conditions mount up to the point where even treating one will cause problems with another making any quality of life non existent... You both are in my thoughts and prayers.

I pray for your father every day (along with a list of other people I know who need a refuah shlemah - complete recovery).
May G-d grant your father a miraculous recovery. But if that does not occur, then may G-d see to it that your father does not suffer.

I'm so sorry, Italian Zionist. I'll pray for you and your father.

The doctors would be able to tell if he was in pain. You see changes on the machines that reflect when a person is in pain even if they are not conscious, a racing heartbeat, elevated blood pressure, movement to mild stimulation. If they saw these signs they would have him on pain medications around the clock.

I will continue to pray for your father, ItalianZionist.
If your Dad seems uncomfortable talk to his doctor or nurse.
Sometimes medical professionals miss those signs.
His comfort is very important though.
