I've heard of this parasite. I think there should be allot more effort in trying to cure chagas and eradicate the bug that spreads it. Unlike AIDS this disease is not completely avoidable by people who live responsibly.

One of the scary things in the video was that the guy said there were many tropical diseases like this that could become more prevalent in the USA.

Also you can get this from a blood transfusion. I hope that there will be protocols in place to screen blood for this and other well-known tropical diseases soon.
