Sorry to hear that. Please stay safe. I hope your power comes back on sooner rather than later.
Here in Nassau County, more than half the people lost power. I have had close to 10 brownouts today. Power could be totally lost at any time. The LIPA website illiustrates how extensive power loss is on Long Island and in the Rockaways in Queens:

Thanks but fortunately as of this moment, I'm very fortunate to be in the minority of people in Nassau County that still has power. Since posting in this thread, I've had many more brownouts though. Each time it happens, I expect to lose power. During Hurricane Irene, I lost power for a minute or two but it came back on.

Sorry, Lisa. I hope you get your power back ASAP.
A friend of mine up on the Great Neck/ Kings Point area called me earlier tonight, as power went out on that block. Further North, I heard that the storm surge in Kings Point by L.I. Sound was around 12 ft. An even higher amount than on the South Shore. The wind/ surge combination is extremely dangerous near any body of water.

That sucks!!!!
Hope you get your power back on!

I hope the power goes back on soon for all the JTFers.

Wish you the best. Stay safe.

Really bad where I was. Saw con ed explosions and lights go out downtown Manhattan. Have since left to my brother's and maybe in laws or parents later. The tide that went over the river made me think of a mini katrina.
Gd is very angry.

The power is out at my local supermarket and even the local 7-11. Thankfully, the power is fine though at my house.

Shlomo and I are doing are well, baruch Hashem. The hurricane did not knock out power to either one of us. But we are concerned about our fellow JTFers and all good people who are still without power or who may have experienced other hardships from this huge storm.

Im glad you are all ok who posted on here. I started a check in thread for our fellow East Coast JTFrs to post on so we would not all be worried here...Ive been worried sick.... :'(

Lost power here in Suffolk a little after 4:00 pm on Monday and it's still off. I took a ride around the area yesterday and the damage is the worst I've ever seen. Trees down on nearly every street, utility polls down, dangling power lines. It took LIPA nearly 4 days to get power back on in my area last year after Irene and this is much worse.
