Title: About Vlad the Impaler.

I'm only a blue collar ignoramus, so I was wondering if anybody could tell me if Vlad a.k.a Dracul was an anti-semite. It is safe to assume he wasn't a lover of Jewery given his alignment with both the orthodox and catholic chuches during those dark times. It's just that the thought of his impaling some 20,000 muzzies makes me feel warm and fuzzie and nice. The problem is that I don't want to express admiration for this guy if he persecuted Jews.

PLEASE: Don't any of you turn this thread into a church bash. That's NOT my intention and I'm in enough poo as it is.

I remember him best as the hero who saved Eastern Europe from Mohammedan ignorance.  For that, the Turks to this day despise him.

I am told I am related to vlad the impalor on my father's side.

He impaled Turks and German merchants.  I've never heard anything about his relations with Jews.

Really you are related to Vlad the Impaler or VLAD TEPES as he is know in Romanian...
I'm ethnic Romanian, and I have visited his castle in Transylvania, 'BRAN' Castle.
What is your ethnic background?

Vlad was a terrible person. All the available evidence points to that. But he prevented a greater evil from spreading. Kinda the way Stalin did with Hitler.

I thought so. I was trying to find out if he persecuted Jews, though.
