It is very interesting. In Israel the faith grows and more young people believe in god than old .
and The more socialist a country becomes the more atheist.
The study is detailed and covers the last decades. Japan is a special case, because imo their concept of god is different, so the numbers are perhaps misleading.

I think it is only a study of quantity but not of quality of faith. Allot of the growing "faiths" in the west are junk religions- either reform/progressive type of Judaism and Christianity, or cults like Scientology and new age religions.

yes, there is not mentioned the kind of believe.the questioned people believe in.
The questions are pointing in the direction of the existence of god in general.

The U.S. isn't bad either it's pretty good.It only mentions the former East Germany what about in the West
