I think Chaim refused to eat non kosher food and lost a lot of weight until they gave in. I think...  :soldier:

Here in America the law is that the prison system MUST provide kosher food to a Jew who requests it. This law was fought for by Rabbi Meir Kahane ZT'L during his incarceration in the 70s. I posted about this last year...

 It is a crime and a sin not to provide Kosher food especially to those that request it and these traditions must be
 respected. All Jews should be eating Kosher food anyway.
