Not that I want to be a 'grammar nazi' but is 'illegalized' a legitimate word?
My spell checker rejects it... So does my internal spell checker which would substitute 'Outlawed' for 'illegalized'.

I'm in university. My opinion means more than Heather and Les. If legalize is a word, like legitimize, and illegitimate is a word, like illegal. The opposite of those verbs are illegitimize and illegalize.

I am saying that this is a new word. It was not in the dictionaries until recently.

In English it is very easy to derive a new verb out of an existing word.
