My father (OBM) had a huge collection of Cowboy hats. One of his favorite photos of himself when he was a child was of himself and his brother sitting wearing their cowboy costumes... I can't imagine what anyone would 'hate' about these hats. They are the signs of American hard-work and pride...

My dad was a cowboy growing up, he was in rodeos and showed horses. When I was little he would dress me up as a cowboy. I still wear a cowboy hat sometimes, like when I'm working on the farm, or go to a rodeo.

I used to take him to the big rodeo every year for his birthday.

Unless Western means the Left Coast where you have all the loonies in places like San Francisco, Berkley, Hollywood, etc....
