Read an article a few days ago that the Royal Airforce easily chased off Syrian warplanes with their Phantom fighter plane, somewhere near Greece. The stats on the Phantom fighter
according to the article, seemed very impressive.
Does Israel have planes as good as the Phantom? I know Israel has F16 fighters equipped with the super Israeli technology.

Phantom was an advanced fighter in the 1960s and early 70s. I really don't know what incident you are referring to but it probably happened in the 1980s or before. The Brits still have a big base in Cyprus which is close to the shores of Syria.

Non better than the RAF! ;D

The British Airforce wouldn't want to tangle with the IAF. ;D

A handful of British Fleet Air Arm pilots in tiny Sea Harriers wiped the floor with the Argies in 1982 in air to air combat.
But Israeli pilots get much more real training, and their Elbit radars and Python 5 missiles would detect and down the poor Englishmen long before their substandard Ferranti and GEC trash systems would even show a blip.

Every now and then I get the feeling that you actually might be someone important.

I always thought both air forces were great, but Israel does train with a lot of hours...skill and expertise will be need for any future conflicts that is for sure.
