This is a news report not and they bring the lawyers defense argument. I don't think the item expresses sympathy to the murderer.

It's being presented as fact. Do you think GayBC News will uncritically present the argument of the 54 year-old citizen who shot Renisha McBride?

OK you make a good point. They should have included also at least a statement about how the prosecution intends to refute that defense.
