New York, NY - New York lawmakers say they plan to introduce legislation today to block the Bush Administration's proposed sale of sophisticated weaponry to Saudi Arabia.

U.S. Representative Anthony Weiner's office said in a statement that Saudi Arabia's support for the war on terror has been questionable.

Officials have said that the proposed weapons sales are intended to strengthen U.S. allies at a time of uncertainty in the region. Egypt and Israel are also expected to receive financial support.

The sale is worth an estimated $5 billion and includes advanced weaponry and air systems that would enhance the striking ability of Saudi warplanes. [ap]

Selling anything more advanced than a rifle to any muslim country is nuts!

Selling any sort of weapon to a muslim country is just asinine.

Here we go again... just like the port deal!
This pig-face President is obsessed with giving the Muslims more weapons to PROTECT us from terrorists, that's crazy!
We have to rise up to stop this from going forward!
