He had lost to Weidman in their first fight after taunting Weidman with his head unprotected and ending up being knocked out by a fist. Silva was a long reigning champion and a formidable warrior but I think he run out of steam. He's going to retire I suppose, then make a sequence of increasingly pathetic comebacks like most great ex champions do.
