Jews have lived in Judea and Samaria for over 3000 years. There were periods when they were barred from living there:

when the Romans barred the Jews from Jerusalem after 135CE;when the Crusaders banned all Jews and Muslims in the 1200s; and when the Jordanians evicted the Jews and forbade their entry- even to visit their holy sites- from 1949 to 1967.

While the Ottomans and British made no such anti-Jewish laws over 450 years, today, Israel, the Palestinian Authority and others are forbidding Jews from living in their ancient homeland.
