Let me preface this question by stating I am NOT a liberal and I do NOT think pedophilia is OK.... Anyone that rapes a child should be removed from society forever, either they be executed or serve life without parole.
Is pedophilia, at least to some degree, a psychological disorder... like a sociopath or psychopath that kills? I have seen people (although not personally) that honestly think the children were mutually responsible... or in agreeance and that it was an act of love and no physical or psychological harm was done.....
But, does it matter what they think because they need to be removed from society regardless. Much like a rabid animal, they don't realize they are doing anything wrong but you eliminate them anyway.
I think the reason pedophiles have virtually 0% rehabilitation is because they refuse to accept the fact that what they are doing is wrong.
One more thing, I think prison should be 50/50 punishment and rehabilitation.... of course depending on crime.

I don't believe they can ever be rehabilitated because their sexual desires are toward children and that's probably never going away. One of them who does realize it's wrong should self-report and seek psychiatric help to avoid a first offense. Those who do harm children should be put to death.

There are homosexuals who have reformed, so the same is possible for pedophiles, but unfortunately most of them don't care enough to even try because they are bad people.
Yes, they can be reformed.
