Title: AIPAC's indictments
Post by: RationalThought110 on August 07, 2007, 01:25:14 AM
What do you think of two AIPAC employees who were previously indicted for passing classified information to an Israeli official.  Supposedly the information related to Iran, Saudi Arabia, and al Qaeda.

The obvious argument for the indictments was that passing classified information is illegal.  However, if the US and Israel are allies, why would the US government withhold this information from Israel?

I think it's ridiculous.  Why shouldn't Israel have all access to every American document and intelligence report?  This doesn't make any sense to me.  The US probably wants to withhold this information from Israel because it doesn't want Israel to see what it's doing behind the scenes such as providing arms and weapons to arab "allies" and other such things.

This is exactly why Ronald Reagan (yimach schmo vezichro) sent Jonathan Pollard to federal death row. Pollard was exposing what that Saudi catamite Reagan was doing to tiny Israel.

What did Reagan do to Israel?

I find it disappointing that some very rationally minded people aren't able to realize that a part of being allies is that one country won't deliberately withhold information from the other.

Michelle Malkin isn't anti-Israel but she seems to forget that the US was withholding information so it wasn't illegal for an official from the pentagon to give the information to AIPAC employees, to then give the information to an Israeli official.
