I'm happy about this, but the cynical side of me said that the powers that be only allowed this to happen because Texas is one of the states where a lot of the births are to foreign-loyal people.

Of course I don't wish death to those babies but I wish their mothers would go back to their country of origin before giving birth.

On the other hand, I don't see this happening in California.

Good point Lisa. California however is already a blue state and is unlikely to ever vote Republican again in a presidential election. The democrats have been working overtime to make Texas a blue state too because of all the electoral votes.

I really don't want that to happen because I don't want to have to start paying a state income tax or have to suffer all the other ill effects that Texas being a blue state would cause.
