Rabbi Cassouto is great. He is a Breslev Chassid at Yeshiva Chut Shel Chessed, the same Yeshiva which Rabbi Lazer Brody is teaching at.

The Vilna Gaon would disagree with what the Rabbi in the video said at 12:18 in the movie.
According to the Vilna Gaon, the soul or to be more exact the upper part of the soul (since the soul has several parts or elements) is not part of G-d, it is with G-d in the upper spiritual worlds. That is to say, G-d and the soul are 2 separate things and should not be mixed together.
