When I got married to my ex the band played YMCA,where were their brains?
The chasuna had a 6 ft high mechitza so how can anybody be so stupid?
Anyway I grabbed the microphone from the singer & I said Jewish songs only you idiot you don't play YMCA at a Jewish affair certainly not at an Orthodox one!!!!
I have seen this by other functions by & am freaked out by it.
First of all the group that originally sung this song were faggots, second how can they sing about a Christian organization at a Jewish wedding.
That would be like singing hava nagila at a Christian wedding

How about Katy perry's, "I kissed a girl"? Hmmm?

Read what I wrote I pulled the microphone out of the musicians & hand & demanded he stop & only sing Jewish songs.
Not my fault my ex in laws got the band & they were cheapskates.

Was it an orthodox band
No my ex in laws got the cheapest band available they didn't care as long as they could cut costs
I had to fight with them for the mechitza & seperate seating.

At least I got my way with the mechitza & seperate seating & no mixed dancing as well as the most mehadrin kosher catering available.
So all I had to do is yell at the band & get them to play only Jewish music.
But it is sad that people can be such cheapskates!!!

The real crime is the amount of money spent on wedding and Bar Mitzvah receptions.

There are many especially amongst Chassidic communities that cut costs, but this NY Post article is not Orthodox Jews but So called Conservative or Reform.
