Title: Psalm 151 to 154
Post by: Israel Chai on December 12, 2014, 01:27:19 AM
These are in the DSS. The only information I can find on it was Xtian translators and pastors discussing it, and I want the halachic opinion. Anyone have any Jewish source on these alleged Psalm chapters?

My book of Tehillim has only 150 chapters, not 154... Those must be non-Jewish in orgin.

Dead sea scrolls were at least a little Jewish.

These look to be Christian, maybe Hellenist in origin and also copying statements from other Psalms. You can view the aramaic texts here

Interesting find... Although it seems to be written with a Christian bent (years are expressed as CE (AD) as opposed to Jewish years)...

Apparently the NTs that include them changed the order and the wording of them. I'm talking just those found in the DSS. You think maybe it's another example of the Xtian archaeologist looking for something and rearranging the scroll fragments to fit what he thinks, or is there any truth to these pslams.
