Because a child wouldn't know any better but adults do.  What kind of sick creep would show this or give a thing like this to a child?   They will probably be messed up by it.

Recently in Israel a decent female TV host was attacked for telling a transgender "actor" in his face that his drag act doesn't belong to a children musical.

I think seeing this on TV desensitize people. That TV host got hazed by the media and condemned as a bigot while the point she raised was ignored. She said there is a difference between a male actor playing a female and a transgender and she doesn't want her young children to be introduce to sexual identity issues at Chanukah musicals.
