For years Chaim has gone on about how the US must end its dependence on Arab oil via its oil shale.
Now the US is a net exporter of oil, this spelling the end of Ishmael's wealth & its rapid demise, as foretold in the Torah and Zohar

Perhaps you are not aware that recently Saudi Arabia and OPEC have cratered the oil prices through over-production. They are doing this specifically to crush the nascent shale oil industry. With oil prices low enough, that business cannot survive. Temporary pain for the saudis for large longterm gain.
Many drilling companies are now going under and halting all drilling activities. It is only economical with oil above a certain price threshold.

I heard it was to screw Russia over

Could be one of the reasons also, but just so happens to crush shale oil industry too.

This competition is very good for future.

The Arabs hold the vast amount of oil reserves that are cheap to recover. Allot of the shale oil requires price per barrel in the high 60s and above to turn a profit. The Arabs are going to be left standing as well as the traitorous oil "super majors" like Exxon and Shell while some of the smaller American independent producers might be wiped out and their reserves in the shale oil plays will be picked up on the cheap by the evil national oil companies and the super majors.

Yup. They are toast.
edit to clarify: The (now-former?) shale oil players are toast, that is.

Yishtabach shemo la'ad ul'netzach nitzachim.
My G-d, I have not posted on this forum in years. I always came by and read your posts every once in a while but this news has made smile and jump for joy that the Wicked Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is losing power. May we merit to see Yishmael brought to his knees like the DOG that he is, speedily, in our days.
Amen.
P.S. Tears of joys are streaming down my face as I write this, literally.
