Shalom,
I have recently been watching some old films on youtube. Came across the famous 'Charlie Chan' films of the 1930s-1940s and I am impressed with the level of the comedy. Charlie Chan is supposed to be a detective/mystery series but they also inserted a great deal of comedy. One of the great comedic characters in this series is 'Birmingham Brown' who is an African-American Chauffeur who also makes some astoundingly funny ad-libs. He is played by the actor 'Mantan Moreland' and here is one of his famous acts.

By some he was considered a racist stereo-type but by most he was considered a comedic genius. I learned that he was considered for the part of a Stooge in the '3 Stooges'...
