I have a suspicion that there is more to it then a simple algorithmic mistake. The "gorilla" is a web programmer. Perhaps he deliberately composed a picture that looked allot like a known gorillas picture to trick the algorithm.

Also it is possible that allot of pictures of black people are tagged as "gorillas" by other people so a self learning algorithm might mistakenly decide to tag similar pictures as gorillas too.
