1996 Geo Metro, 50 MPG!!! It gets the same mileage as a hybrid, and I paid $1700 for it... not $25,000  ;D

The European gas Smart car gets around 70 mpg, the American Smart gets 40 mpg. Our treasonous government wouldn't allow cars here to get 70+ mpg. The diesel version gets around 85 mpg.

I used to have a diesel VW Jetta that I was converting to bio diesel.. but the head gasket blew and the repair was more than the car  :-\

I currently have a BMW 330CI Coupe from 02. It's OK but has a lot of electrical issues and I'm out of warranty right now, so it's costly!
I would like to upgrade to something newer but I'm not sure as to what yet!

leasing...don't put any money down but inquire about the multiple deposit (that way whatever you put down, you get back at the end of your lease and you make cheaper lease payments.

Is that possible with any make? or is that a special deal offered?

You don't have a bicycle? I had a tricycle when I was really young (2-4 years old).

I did but one of the wheels got stolen and then the entire frame vanished as well. So......its just me and my rusty tricycle left- I don't ride it of course. :)

i think you can inquire about it to any dealer you go to that you want to lease a car.

Let me give you an example.  YOu would pay your $2500 fees up front and then you can give an addition of 6000 up front. BMW or whatever dealership, puts the money in the bank and uses it for their own gain in those 36 months you lease the car. When you return the car or exchange it, they give you your money back...

Rather than money down and then, GD forbid, your car gets totalled and now you can't get that money back.

I definitely considered a motorcycle, still considering. They're really good on gas and very cheap to insure. Although I was also thinking about a street legal scooter, they're even better on gas.. but going on the highway in New York with scooter seems a little scary.

I never saw this thread. I really like the car you drive dan. Did you get it new or used. The only thing that makes me think twice about it is that its a nazimobile. BMW's are the best to drive though. Is your car an automatic or a stick?

What's their lame excuse for not allowing cars to use diesel?

I have a leased 06 acura rsx type s that I got a really cheap deal on. The lease is up soon and I will miss the car. It gets fairly good gas mileage yet has a great engine. I love the fact that the redline is 8300 rpm. Not many engines do that anymore.
