They even admit the expropriation of the land holds serious security and political ramifications, but they chose to give the land away anyhow.

Notice these politicians and government bureaucrats never  give away their own personal land or property.  Their decisions never cost them a dime.  But it's no problem at all  to give away public Jewish land that's not theirs to give away.
