Title: Should MLK Day be banned?
Post by: admin on October 07, 2007, 09:01:20 PM
I actually like the day off but on moral grounds I would say to ban it. All these morons say it's "a day on" and do community service work. I like that I won't have to leave class early that day to go to Tu B'Shevat evening services so MLK Day is convenient at the same time.

Hmm, my birthday falls out on the same date that MLK was assassinated. (April 4) Perhaps I should ban my birthday and move it to a different date.

Blacks were chased across Africa and taken as slaves to America. Many of them were killed or died of hunger in the ships. Of coiurse there must be a day to commmemorate their suffering

Bloody hell yes.  But first, the FBI files on MLK must be released, so that the general public can learn of the true character of MLK.
