People are also left-footed and right-footed. Usually one eye is stronger than the other, so people can be left-eyed and right-eyed. And even stranger: pay close attention to your friends' faces. Really stare at them, watch closely when their lips curve into smiles. You'll see that people are almost always strongly left-faced or right-faced. One side is usually much more expressive than the other. In fact, if you mirror the two sides of a person's face to create a left-composite and a right-composite, you'll find yourself looking at two completely different people.
Connections between the left and right hand sides or hemispheres of the brain are faster in left-handed people, a study in Neuropsychology shows.
The fast transfer of information in the brain makes left-handers more efficient when dealing with multiple stimuli.
Experts said left-handers tended to use both sides of the brain more easily.
Why do old tales always associate the left with being not so good?

I am Left handed .

Interesting....mmm...very interesting Lol.
These statistics determine whether or not JTF members are more creative, spatial, logical etc

You know how that old saying goes: If the left brain control the right side of the body and the right brain controls the left side of the body, then only left-handed people are in their right mind.
I'm right handed. But when I cut meat with a knife and fork, I feel more comfortable cutting with my left hand. My parents remind me of an embarrassing comment I made when I was a kid about this saying that I feel more comfortable holding the knife in my left hand when using a knife and fork, not because I feel more comfortable knifing with my left, but that I am better at forking with my right :)
I also prefer using my left leg to kick a ball. So perhaps I have some mixed genes in here somewhere (as well as other mixed up brain cells ;) )

Right handed

Right handed, the only one in my family:P
-
Since I broke my right leg at the beginning of the summer, my left left leg has become dominant.
-
I can write with both hands ...and I step-off with my right foot. :)
-
I'm right handed too. Though I was always pushed to use my right hand for everything, so much so that I cannot hold any cutlery with my left hand.
I used to know a left handed boy, whose father hit him when he used his left hand.

Left handed.

I think I started writing with my right hand because "everyone else was doing it" but I actually should write left-handed. My horrible right-handed penmanship is proof of that, I think. I feel dominant with my left hand in some things and it feels stronger and stabler in some senses. I kick with my right leg, jump off of my left, and I ride with my skateboard and snowboard in a way that suggests I'm right-footed. I dribble basketballs with my left hand but throw footballs and baseballs with my right hand. It's strange, I use my hands differently for different activities but I'd say that on the whole I use my left for about 50% of things and my right for the other 50%.

Right. I've always admired southpaws since the Rocky films though.

That's pretty fascinating. I'm surprised nobody on here has made any wise aleck remarks about you being able to shoot with both hands when holding up a liquor store ;)

Do this experiment: Extend one of your hands all the way out in front of you while holding up your thumb and sighting it on a target that's aways in front of you. Now, looking at your thumb (aligned on said target) with both eyes, close one of your eyes. Open your eye. Then, again looking at your thumb with both eyes (while sighted on the target), close the other eye.
You may now open the eye. ;D
When your thumb appeared to have shifted off the target when you closed an eye, THAT'S your dominant side. :D
I'm (regrettably) left handed and so the position of my thumb appears to change when I close my left eye during said experiment. O0
