Title: Dubai

Dubai along with the Emirates is ploughing money into its tourism industry. What do you make of this?

They have/ are planning:

Dubai land- the biggest theme park.
Dubai Sports city- world ranking sports complex.
Palm Island- also the Island that is shaped as the world globe, when looked upon from above.
Dubai Tower

etc etc.

Its not just non muslims going over there. All the muslims go there too.
They are also doing projects in other Arab countries. In Morocco, just a couple of feet from where I stayed dubai developments were building a Marina.

Um, actually i'm sure the greedy Arab locals in UAE keep the money and spend it on luxurious living...and food.

They shouldn't go to the casino anyhow because its forbidden to gamble but its even worse that the casino belongs to muslims.

I also think the money is just put back into the country otherwise it wouldn't be moving at the rate it is.

Any source of income in the Muslim world goes directly to terrorist funding.

  Dubai is probably the last bastion of sanity in the muslim world........it's really not that bad all things considered.  Of course the people who live there are a bit primitive and superstitious, but the people who rule Dubai, are not all bad IMHO.

They know one day their oil will run out or energy independence will occur in the west. They are using their oil wealth to create a tourist industry so that when it happens they will have a source of income. In fact, this is very worrying because by the time no one buys their oil they will have acquired so much wealth that they will have industries like this, own corporations in America and so will always have funds to spend on WMD and terrorism.
