Did you know that Pearl's wife isn't Jewish?  Her paternal grandmother was Jewish but her paternal grandfather was a Christian.  I think they raised her father as a Catholic.  Her mother was of mixed Afro-Cuban and Chinese background.  She was raised Catholic but became a Buddhist.

Look up Pearl's father, Judea.  He's now giving some funding to various organizations including one of Muslim journalists.  He probably thinks they're moderate.
