reminds me of an incident that happened near my location...

a few years ago a hasidic man got stabbed to death at a KOSHER restaurant in the ULTRA-ORTHODOX community of Toronto.
The murderer(s) were a group of three degenerates; two male (atleast one completely bald - skinhead), and a black girl.

Afterwards the news agencies and investigators resoundingly said it was NOT a hate-crime.  It was NOT driven by hate or anti-semitism, and it only occured because the group was FRUSTRATED because they were unsuccessful in their search for drugs!

That excuse seems almost as transparent and terrible as this one - yet i'm sure this ugly event will pass just like the one near me did, without any major attention being paid to it, and of course without any redemption for the frightened and battered jewish community.
