Yes they do that in New Zealand, and it works very well. They are trying to bring it into Australia but the state governments a slow to agree.

It's cheaper than buying a filter that costs $30-40. Plus it's convenient I take a bottle with me at work, so there...it's practical and delicious!

I like bottled water, not because I think it is healthier, but the taste is better.  I also like the fruit flavored water beverages like fruit20 and Vitamin Water.  I have a Brita filter for the refrigirator too, in case I'm running low on the bottled water, and I use tap water in a pinch, or sometimes when cooking.
