Hybrids are bad
the reason for this is that hybrids/gas savers are americas way to continue using oil and gasoline
what will happen is that when so many people have fuel efficient vehicles that they will make less trips to the gas station thus the price of gas goes up and they stay happy
They make hybrids/gas savers so they wont have to use other means for energy basically to shut us up about developing/using  an alternative to oil
Its a delay to finding/using new alternatives

That is Absolutely Right!
The Big Oil Companies dictate the pace of progress... the politicians and mass media are on their side so how can the alternative source of energy EVER be the Norm. ?!

Ever wonder what happened to GM's all electric EV-1? Has anyone seen Who Killed the Electric Car?

"Who Killed the Electric Car? is a 2006 documentary film that explores the birth, limited commercialization, and subsequent death of the battery electric vehicle in the United States, specifically the General Motors EV1 of the 1990s. The film explores the roles of automobile manufacturers, the oil industry, the US government, batteries, hydrogen vehicles, and consumers in limiting the development and adoption of this technology."
