Today on TV
« on: November 12, 2007, 07:29:39 PM »
On today's (11/12) on the people's court, a hadsic Jew (exuse the spelling) complained about a Jewish neighbor about leaving somewhere on the sabbath.  The neighbor told him to go to hell.  Since then, he has been blocking the neighbor's car.  What do you think?  Did anyone seen this?

I didnt see it, but that sounds crazy.  You cant force your beliefs on someone that way, he was wrong to do that.

It's not just beliefs, it's Jewish Law. It applies for all Jews.

True, but he has to obey city laws, peoples court I think is NYC, so its going to be against the law to block your neighbors car in because you dont want them to drive it, it may be a religious obligation but he could have gone and talked with the neighbor instead of breaking the law.  What if the neighbor is a doctor, or police officer, or has such a reason for being out on friday, he really should have spoken with him first.

I mean, what if, Gd forbid, there was a medical emergency to save a life and that guy needed his car?!  I think the Hassidic Jew who blocked the care broke the law.

It was a woman who got the business from her neighbor for traveling on the sabbath.
