He gave a nice little speech there about Ishmael and Isaac and how we are "supposed to be in the land together." Had he ever read Torah (which I highly encourage him too), he would know that Abraham was told to send Ishmael away because Ishmael was a bad influence. Abraham was distressed so G-d came and told him to send Ishmael away and that the covenant would be with
Isaac and
not Ishmael. Further it is written that Ishmael will be "a wild man, his hand against everyone and their hand against him" and today that prophesy has come true. I highly suggest Rabbi Lerner actually at the very least, read, and ideally study, Torah. That way hopefully he will stop babbling such ignorance
