Media Assault on American Values
« on: February 04, 2008, 08:08:52 PM »
I found this interesting report on the Media Assault on American Values.

I found the entire Culture and Media Institute site quite interesting.

As a parent I feel like I'm fighting the Media Assault on American Values every day.  >:(

I was in the library reading Glamour magazine today.  And there was picture of the recently knocked up Jamie Lynn Spears, Britney's sister.  There was a picture of her, along with "advice" from readers on what she should do.

I mean, whatever happened to ostracizing and shaming people who act immorally?

And here the magazine had a nice photo of her as well!

In that same issue of Glamour was a questionnaire given to some female celebs on who their girl crush is.  They all mentioned (bisexual) Angelina Jolie.

Then there was an interview with actress Rosario Dawson on how she's working to get out the Latino vote.  (And we know where those votes will go.)

I've stopped reading magazines like Glamour.
It's sad - I used to really enjoy them.  Easy reading.  ;)
I agree with you Lisa - What has happened to our value system?  When did we take on an anything goes mentality?
Young people, especially young woman, are being sold a bill of goods by the liberal media.
I think there will be a lot of regrets and ruined lives resulting from this lack of morality.
