Israeli Air Force Seeking Negev Natural Gas Power Plant

(IsraelNN.com) The Israel Air Force (IAF) has published a request for information (RFI) for bids for the construction of a 20-30 megawatt natural gas-driven power station at the Nabatim Air Force Base in the Negev. Not including fuel, the power station will cost $30-50 million.

A large response to the RFI is predicted, due to the significant energy needs of the Israeli defense enterprise. The defense establishment in general and the IAF in particular are major energy consumers, with IDF electricity consumption topping NIS 1 billion (almost $280 million) a year.

Why not melt the arabs down and use the lard as fuel? Solve two huge problems at once, I say.
