An overwhelming majority of worldwide Jerusalem Post readers who responded to an American presidential poll on JPost.com favor John McCain over Barack Obama.

Slideshow: Pictures of the week According to results of the poll, in which over 4,500 people participated, 75% said they would like to see McCain as the next man in the White House, 22% preferred Obama and 1.5% were undecided.

The same pattern was evident when asked which candidate would better serve Israel's interests. Over 80% pointed at the Republican nominee, with the Democratic candidate gaining just over 19%.

Asked which factor plays a more significant role when voting - domestic issues or foreign policy - 74% of the respondents chose the latter.

Regarding McCain's choice of Sarah Palin as his running mate, 67% of respondents judged the decision as "brilliant." Forty-five percent said they believed that age - be it Obama's relative youth or McCain's relative older age - was not a factor in the elections; 28% said the age issue helped Obama and 27% said it favored McCain.

The JPost.com survey featured safeguards against double voting and computerized manipulation, but does not constitute a representative statistical sample.

A survey of the American Jewish vote conducted in May by Gallop, by contrast, found that Obama is widely favored over McCain among American Jews - by a 61% to 32% margin.

In a poll carried out among the Israeli Jewish public in July, by Keevoon Research, Strategy & Communications, however, 38 percent of the Israeli Jewish public said they prefer McCain, while 31% said they would rather see Obama elected as the next US president. A full 31% either did not know or had no preference.

Israelis should be repolled ....The undecided vote would likely
go to Mccain once they are told of his Iran position.

And if American Jews knew of Hussein's remark in a NY Times interview ....
in May 17 2008 that he supports Hamas' "legitimate claims"
Jews would be asking questions and that would force him to
throw up his usual smokescreen of nonsense and misdirection.

If you think about it Kerry and Gore both got 80% of Jews there not to say that there isn't much work to be done but the Obama factor has turned many Jew to the Right. The Left is way too loney for them. It's only a matter of time before we get the 80% numbers that the Democrats were getting. The Liberal Reform Jews are Marrying out of the faith and the COnsertative Orthodox Jews are having more then enought kids to take over these numbers. We can only pray that it comes sooner then later

Yes ...Obama would be getting less than Kerry in terms of polling
65 pct worse case scenario for Obama ...

But even with Obama being a Muslim the majority Jews (secular liberals) still support him,  which makes no sense.

Perhaps the word hasnt got out to the Jews about Obama and they dont know he is a Muslim and all the baggage that surrounds him.

Btw ...i read a poll where Obama leads Mccain only by 5 in NY.
it could be some Jews actually are turning
